Introductory Program
When a student enrolls into our program, we ask them to first spend one month in orientation during our Introductory Program. This time allows the student to become familiar with the Dōjō, class routines and student expectations. During this one month period, new students are expected to accomplish the following:
- Acquire the correct training attire
- Acquire the appropriate training equipment
- Become familiar with the training protocol and mannerisms used in the Dōjō
- Become familiar with the rules and guidelines written in the Jinenkan Rules
- Become familiar with the history and origin of Jissen Kobudō

Student Program – Mudansha, 無段者
Now that a students is an enrolled member of the Dōjō, the following expectations for maintaining a membership in good standing are expected of each student without exception:
- Associate membership of $50 to the Jinenkan Honbu Dōjō (paid yearly to Dōjōchō)
- Monthly membership dues of $125 per month are current
- Jinenkan patches are purchased from the Hombu Dojo store and worn on uniform
- Maintain a consistent schedule of training

Student Program – Yūdansha, 有段者
Students who have achieved the rank of Shōdan will be considered Full Members of the Jinenkan.
The following expectations for maintaining a membership in good standing are expected of each
student without exception:
- Full membership of $150 to the Jinenkan Honbu Dōjō (paid yearly to Dōjōchō)
- Acquire the correct training attire for Yūdansha students

Distance Students / Training Group Leaders
Students from different parts of the world are welcome to be members of the Jinenkan Kōsei Gōgi Dōjō and follow the training regimen of students under Adam Mitchell Sensei. These members are considered full active members of the Jinenkan Dōjō and are afforded the same rights a privileges as our local students. They are also held to the same standards and expectations in regard to consistent participation of training and staying up to date with the Dōjō’s Distance Training program. Students are also expected and encouraged to regularly meet with Adam Sensei online for critique and guidance. Following are the expectations for Distance Students and Training Group Leaders:
- Full membership of $150 to the Jinenkan Honbu Dōjō (Training group leaders).
- Associate membership of $50 to the Jinenkan Honbu Dōjō (individual students / students under group leader)
- Membership to online Dōjō of $395 per year.
- Within on week of enrollment, students must complete their 1 year training model (found on membership site). No membership will be considered without a submitted model.
- All enrollment expectations of the Student Program apply.
- Minimum of one training session with Adam Mitchell Sensei per year. This is done by hosting a workshop or visiting the New York Dōjō. Please contact Adam Mitchell for more details regarding hosting a workshop.
- Adam Mitchell does not offer distance rank promotion. Acquiring rank certification from the Jinenkan Honbu Dōjō under the judgement of any Dōjōchō requires a student to receive live critique.

Guest Training
Students who wish to visit the Jinenkan Kōsei Gōgi Dōjō and are not full members of the Dōjō are welcome. We do ask the following courtesies prior to arrival:
- Class fee of $25 per day, regardless of how many classes attended
- Arrive with all necessary training equipment
- Arrive with appropriate training attire
- Respect the protocol of our Dōjō and the expectations of our teacher Unsui Sensei
- Students travel from far away and wish to sleep at the Dōjō are required to clean the Dōjō thoroughly in exchange for the accommodation. There is no fee for sleeping at the Dōjō.
